Walking at the THS Commons Building

The Troy High School Commons Building Gym is now open for the public to walk mornings from 6 a.m. to 7:30 a.m., according to a news release from the walkers group. All adults are invited to walk at their own pace in a safe, warm environment. The gym is open all days that school is in session. Due to the realignment at the high school that added additional students to the building, the Commons Building gym will not be available for walking during the school day. Contact Carol Lane at (570) 297-2617 for any questions about the program and for referrals for possible other locations to walk during the day.

 

Weekly Fish Fry

The public is invited to the weekly Fish Fry at the Vets Club in Troy. Doors open at 5pm. The menu includes fried or broiled fish and salad bar.  A reglar menu is also available.

Nov. 19th at the United Methodist Church (158 Chemung St. Waverly, NY on 17C) and on Nov. 20th at Verizon Store (1892 Elmira St. Sayre, PA - directly across from Wal-Mart)  10AM to 5PM for both days.  Bring your pennies to fill the penny jar - every cent counts! New Holiday Event

Celebrate The Spirit of Christmas at Troy Alparon Park on Saturday, November 26th from 1pm-5pm.  Part of the afternoon activities include vendors, musicians, Caroling, horse drawn wagon rides, & the light show.  This event is replacing the Troy open to the public. Anyone who wish's to set up can vall Bill at 570-750-1362 or Shelly at 570-297-3842 

Craft Show

The annual Christmas in The Country Craft Show will be held on Saturday November 26th from 10am-3pm at the Warren Center Community Building. There will be 2 large rooms of hand made crafts, A chinese Auction, Chili and Cinnamon Rolls. FMI 395-3751

Football Sunday

The Ladies Auxiliary of the Troy American Legion  invites the public to a hunters relaxation and football Sunday on November 27th at the Vets Club in Troy. The cost of a ticket is $10.00 and can be obtained from any member or at the club.  The Menu will include Hot Dogs, BBR Beans, Salad and Chips

Tis The Season

On Saturday, December 3, 2011 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, the TMS Student Council will be hosting a craft  show. Interested vendors please contact Michelle Manning at 570-297-4565 ormimanning@troyareasd.org. 

MU Holiday Concert

Winter Wonderland will be performed Friday, December 2, Saturday, December 3 and Sunday, December 4 at 7:30 p.m. in Steadman Theatre.   The program will begin with the 85-voice Women?s Choir performing, followed by the 60-member Men?s Choir. The Chamber Singers, a select ensemble of 16 men and women, will sing prior to a brief intermission.    Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $5 for students and children and are available online at music.mansfield.edu or by calling (570)662-4710. MU students, faculty and staff with ID will be admitted free.  Due to the popularity of the holiday concert, patrons are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance and arrive 30 minutes before concert time. The concert is supported in part by student activity fees.

Dinner

Many People may not be aware that the Vets Club in Troy serves dinner to the general public weekdays from 3-pm. FMI and to find out the daily special call 297-3122.
